My husband and I went to Lazy Cloud for our one year wedding anniversary. When we walked into the Heavenly Nights room we were in awe! The room was very clean and very cozy! The in keeper walked us to our room and showed us everything we needed to know and was VERY nice. On our first night there my husband & I read the "comment dairies" and had discovered that there are coins, corks, notes and dollars bills hidden all over the room. This became a game for us and had so much fun going around the room finding all kinds of things. We were so delighted to have picked such romantic room. There is a huge porch outside of every room, and ours had a wooden couple swing. In the morning we would sit on the swing and watch all the wild life come around to feed and then at night, we would just sit and listen to creatures of the night. You have to experience Lazy Cloud to understand what a Lazy Cloud guest feels like! We will definitely be back! Pros: Can't tell you enough about it! Cons: Only one, Bed is not comfortable.

This was our 5th or 6th trip to Lazy Cloud, we're beginning to lose count. This trip was to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. We got engaged in the Blue Moon Suite a little more than 5 years ago and keep coming back to our new favorite, the Heavenly Nights Suite. Once again, it didn't disappoint. It had been a couple of years since our last trip and some things have changed. For the better: new bathroom, improved toiletries, nicer bed. :) For the not-so-better: We were a little disappointed that they no longer provide a pie on your 2nd night. Thankfully, they gave us a free pie as repeat guests unaware of the policy change. Oh, and no more glass wine glasses in the room. Too many people were not following the policy of keeping the glasses away from the whirlpool and they had to change them out for safety. Other than that - fabulous as always. It's such a warm and welcoming place to forget about "real life" and focus on the one you love. We will absolutely be back - they now have a frequent guest program that we are very much looking forward to! If you're on the fence about this place, take a leap of faith. You won't be disappointed. It is magic.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Inn recently and were both pleased with the experience. Our room was very cozy, and because it was near the holidays, had its own Christmas tree in addition to the fireplace, jacuzzi, etc. We were very comfortable here thanks to all the thought that was put into making sure we had a relaxing stay. We especially appreciated the restaurant guide that the Lazy Cloud folks had put together. I had never stayed somewhere before where at check-in, you get a walk-through of your room. I suppose its nice for people who have lots of questions or need to be shown how to turn on a hot tub, but I would have been okay without it, mostly because we had snow and ice tracked throughout our room. I would stay here again if we were in the Lake Geneva area, but would next time ask them to take shoes off by the door (if the weather is wet/snowy).

Lazy Cloud turned out to be a really nice place. We booked one of the rooms at the Inn and didn't realize that the B&B and Inn are different locations, so we got a little turned around at the beginning. Be aware of which one you're booking at and where it is. The Inn is way nicer than it looks on the outside. We came for a weekend out of Chicago for my wife's birthday on the recommendation of some friends, and as we drove up, we were a little worried. The old-looking sign with the neon 'Vacancy' lights didn't look promising. However, the lady in the office was incredibly friendly and led us into our room to show us the amenities. The room itself was great. To some extent, it looked like an antique store/Hobby Lobby barfed on the walls (lots of cutesy Americana stuff, light-up wreaths, etc.), but we felt that just added to the charm. The best part, by far, was the tub. It fits two people, and is really, really nice. Also, the fireplace is the biggest and most impressive gas one I've seen. Your stay comes with chocolate covered strawberries, raspberry chocolates, a bottle of wine, the nice little breakfast for the morning, and the usual teas/coffee that you'd get at any hotel. Those were all tasty and enjoyable. The shower in our room was having major issues with heat regulation, but that wasn't a big deal. They had a message posted right by it, explaining how they knew about the problem and ways they recommend getting around it. It was still kind of obnoxious. I don't know if we'd choose to stay there again (we might like to try something new), but it really is a great place. I'd certainly recommend it for a fun, romantic getaway. The whirlpool tub itself might just lure us back.

My husband and I have stayed at Lazy Cloud about four times and we love it. It's very cute and rustic. If you're looking for hip and sophisticated, you won't find it here, but you will find lots of thougtful touches and well-appointed rooms. On a recent visit we talked to the owner for a while - she truly has a passion for hotelkeeping and hospitality! The entire staff is bend-over-backwards helpful and friendly. There are two locations - the B&B and the Inn. The B&B has lovely grounds with hammocks perfect for reading or napping. The Inn doesn't have any gardens but the rooms are equally nice. You don't get the breakfast buffet, but they do bring breakfast to you in a basket. If memory serves correctly, you still get their awesome pecan rolls!

Loved the stay here, although a little too romantic, if there could ever be such a thing. We went here to avoid kids on a holiday weekend, and seclusion and privacy is exactly what we got. But the bubble bath, candles, love board game, and "love journals" left by other guests were a little too much for us...kinda cram it down your throats at this place. Complimentary wine or champagne bottle at check in (guest's choice), complimentary breakfast in the refrigerator (muffins and OJ), free gourmet chocolates, and a pie from the Elegant Farmer in the room! The freebies were fantastic. Rooms very spacious, and very clean. Staff was extraordinarily friendly. About a 10 minute drive from downtown Lake Geneva.

What an ultra-cute place! When we arrived on a busy weekend, we sincerely felt like the only customers there. The owners took our picture and made a card for us, which was actually a frequent-stay rewards card. Though the price makes it impossible to gather enough visits, it was a nice touch. We stayed at one of the lower-level cabins and felt so secluded, we didn't know others were even there. The room was large, and the food delivery (we opted for the picnic basket BBQ one of our two nights) was fun and delicious. My favorite touch to the stay were the journals. While some entries were a little corny (and some, TMI!), it was still a neat way to capture stories of those that had been in the room prior to. Note this is NOT walking distance to the downtown area. Though, the few times I have been, I wouldn't say that should be a bother, since there's not much to the downtown anyways!

Once again a wonderful stay at the Lazy Cloud Inn. The rooms are delightful. Lots of nick nacks - all without dust! A Peaceful, romantic and stress free weekend. We have been here 7 or 8 times and have always enjoyed it.

We stayed at the Lazy Cloud Inn at the recommendation of a coworker & we were not disappointed! What a cute little place just a short 5-minute drive from downtown Lake Geneva. The person in the office each day was very helpful & friendly. The complimentary treat (we chose the caramel apple pie) was too die for delicious! The suite was a cozy room stocked with plenty of books & fun journals to read. They thought of all the details such as a CD player & some CD's, a private patio with table, chairs & a swing, mini fridge & microwave, coffee maker, candles, bubble bath, fireplace, huge whirlpool tub, etc etc etc. I especially liked the twinkle lights in the latticework decoration above the bed & the whirlpool area. I like how each room has a different theme & color scheme. They also have a little path on their property & some hammocks and fountains around. We would definitely stay here again! The only thing I wish they would add is some sort of step & handrails to assist when getting in & out of the whirlpool tub. Oh, and please note it is well water (I grew up with well water & trust me, this place is not bad at all) so they have a water softening system - if you aren't used to softened water it makes the water even more slippery than usual. Also, I recommend bringing your own bottled water to drink & use in the coffee maker.

Great romantic escape. Very private, very cozy & comfortable. Staff is very helpful and friendly. This place is our new "go to" place when staying in the Lake Geneva area. Highly suggested to our friends whom are couples.

We just came home from our trip to Lake Geneva and were unfortunately not impressed with our stay at Lazy Cloud Bed and Breakfast. First of all, when you do a search of bed of breakfast locations "near" Lake Geneva pay closer attention than we did. While secluded and quaint this property is far from the town center. It was at least a 10-15 minute drive into Lake Geneva which kind of sucks when you want to go into town and have a few drinks and relax but need to stay sober enough to drive back. One of our main reasons for choosing this particular Bed and Breakfast was the whirlpool tub in every room. On that promise, Lazy Cloud delivered and delivered well. The tub itself was spacious and worked great. There were a few things, however, that I felt needed improvement. First, there are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms! This may seem like a small convenience but hearing your loved one in the bathroom kinda lessens the romance factor. Second the wireless internet access is pretty terrible. Even in the lodge itself, the wireless kept going in and out. I understand you are secluded but it's also 2013. Third, the resort is run on well water so having viable drinking water is out of the question. This wouldn't be an issue if they would offer their guests complimentary bottles of water or kept filtered water in the lodge for guests convenience. Neither of those were the case. The "honor" bar in the rooms had some bottles but guests were still expected to pay for it. Lastly, the breakfast promise was extremely underwhelming. While we enjoyed the convenience of being able to take selections back to our room, a waffle maker does not a continental breakfast "plus" make. We were expecting some protein other than packages of string cheese. Some scrambled eggs or meat option would have been lovely but was sadly missing. Also, the coffee was pretty bad which is a major pet peeve of my husband. Lazy Cloud is very affordable but in this case we definitely got what we paid for. Now, even with these annoyances, that does not a two star review make. What happened during our stay if what brought Lazy Cloud down at least a star. On our first night of arrival, there were some storms in the area. Upon arriving back at the Inn around 9:30 pm we noticed it being rather dark. We opened our room and started to turn on light switches. Nothing. Using our phones for light we find the information regarding contacting the owners. As we step outside we meet a gentlemen who was talking with the owner on the phone. He informed us that the power was out, there were hundreds of others without power and he didn't know when it would be back on. He also informed us that since they were on well water, there was NO HOT WATER which also meant the Whirlpool tub was inaccessible to us. Which means that one of the main reasons we were here was not available during HALF of our stay! There wasn't much else to do besides sleep at that point. He was nice and apologetic and mentioned that it was an "act of god" but we got the lovely experience of drinking our lukewarm champagne and falling asleep. As disappointed as we were, we woke up the next morning ready to have the situation remedied by the owners. However, when my husband went to get our breakfast there was NOTHING said to him about compensation. There wasn't even an apology. The woman working (who I assume was the owner. I wouldn't know because they never took the time to introduce themselves to us) says "Crazy weather, huh?". Period. End of story. No apology, no offer of compensation (free bottle of champagne...I don't know...DISCOUNT since we couldn't use your room to full capacity). If my family ever returns to Lake Geneva and vicinity (which is unlikely) I most certainly will not be staying at Lazy Cloud Bed and Breakfast and I would highly recommend you stay away as well. Pros: affordable, cute rooms Cons: TERRIBLE customer service, not updated, no wireless access to speak of, far from Lake Geneva, not a lot to do.

I cannot find enough words to describe how wonderful and perfect my experience at the Lazy Cloud was. My boyfriend and I decided we wanted to go to Lake Geneva and get a weekend away from our busy lives and I was put in charge of finding the hotel. After searching for what felt like months and not finding anything that caught my eye, I spoke to my dad and he told me about a little Inn he and my mom had stayed at years ago. I looked into it and immediately fell in love. The drive is about five minutes from downtown which puts it in a secluded, quiet and romantic area. There is a pond with fish in it and a gazebo to relax in, hammocks strung about and a private deck off of every room. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. We stayed in the blue moon suite, which I would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here. Upon our arrival, the Innkeeper was extremely friendly and showed us to and around our room, giving us tips and tricks about the room and making sure we got the most out of our stay. We were given chocolate covered strawberries (though you can choose to get an apple pie instead) and a bottle of wine of our choice, and found muffins for breakfast in the morning tucked into the fridge. All were delicious! The Inn was booked solid while we were there and the only time we saw/heard another couple was when we were packing up our car to leave. Each room is complete with a whirlpool (!!!!), bubble bath, candles, a fireplace, robes, and so much more. Not to mention the hidden notes, wine corks and dollar bills placed around the room by couples who have stayed in the suite previously. So cute! We got home this afternoon and I'm already figuring out dates for our next stay. I honestly can't put into words how much I enjoyed my stay here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Me and my wife came here for our 2 year anniversary and we were VERY satisfied. We stayed in the "Heavenly Nights" themed room which was really romantic. The staff were really nice and we were provided with quite a few extras, which all were standard. So far ,the best experience we've had with a romantic suite. We highly recommend this place for couples and will definitely be back again!

My husband & I decided to take some time away from home & visit the Lake Geneva area. We booked a suite from hotels.com at Lazy Cloud since it had good reviews & seemed like a very relaxing spot. When we got into town we found out there were actually 2 locations; one in Lake Geneva & the other in Fontana. After getting directions to the Fontana location where our suite was booked we were very impressed. The area was beautiful with some wonderful homes surrounding the site. When checking in we were given our choice of a complimentary desert & bottle of wine of our choice to enjoy during our stay. We chose the caramel apple pie which was delish!! The staff made sure to show us our private suite & explained how the fireplace & hot tub worked. We were also allowed to order breakfast to be delivered the next morning from a list of items that were complimentary. The beach themed room was clean, nicely decorated & relaxing. The grounds were beautiful & they had many areas to relax outdoors, tables & chairs to sit at and hammocks to enjoy. Since it was chilly & raining during most of our stay we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors much but we were able to walk around the grounds in between rainstorms. We had some issue with the fireplace later in the evening but the staff made sure to address it and get it up & running quickly. Breakfast was delivered promptly the next morning & it was fabulous! The homemade granola & sticky cinnamon pecan rolls were so good! The fresh fruit was delicious also! Overall our stay was relaxing & a nice little getaway. I would definitely stay here again & recommend others to stay here as well. It's a perfect adults only location to have some quiet, quality time.

Came here for a little christmas getaway. It was a wonderful little experience. The wife and I didn't leave the room after we got there, except to head home the next day. The room was wonderfully decorated, and had a christmas tree in it! Was really unexpected but beautiful. Next to the fire, it was a pretty picture perfect moment. The hot tub was pretty nice, downside is there is no "drying" area so the carpet in front gets pretty well. We laid a towel down, but I can't imagine this is good for it and it was a little uncomfortable walking by it again on cold wet squishy carpet. The faucet for the tub also sprayed a ton and a good bit of water was going over the edge. Wasn't much we could do though. Seems like it would be a fairly easy adjustment for them to make. As others have mentioned, the bathroom is a little awkward. Some people are comfortable with it but I wouldn't make that assumption for everyone. The door didn't close all the way and noise was pretty noticeable. Bit of a mood killer. Other people mentioned pie but we didn't get any. Muffins, chocolates and hot cocoa were all complimentary though along with the sparkling champagne. All in all, a very cute place to enjoy some intimate time with your significant other. Bring some snacks and drinks and you can stay in all day with a good fire going. **Note, do not make smores over a gas fire!!** Had very little employee interaction. The lady showed us the room, gave us the layout and what not then left. The next day when checking out, everything was simple. I had no problems with the wifi, though I didn't use it much.
